It was our first meeting of 2020 last night and we had an amazing turnout - with over 70 members and guests braving the rain to listen to Lucy Allen telling us all about her life as a Stuntwoman. We think it’s safe to say that her scary tales reinforced our lack of interest in pursuing this profession ourselves however we were fascinated by her journey from aspiring actress
to exotic dancer, to circus performer and finally to her career in stunt work. Anyone who is happy to fling herself off a 65ft cliff into a pile
of cardboard boxes gets our vote for bravery!
Lucy has worked on many prime time TV dramas such as London’s Burning and Killing Eve and blockbuster movies including Harry Potter, James Bond and Titanic (she was one of the falling people on the deck!). We’ll be keeping an eye out for her from
now on!
To end the meeting we shared some cake - with it being our official birthday month it would be rude not to!
