Carpe Diem

Welcome to Carpe Diem!  We usually meet once a month during the day on a Friday to go on a visit somewhere local or up in town. 

Our recent meetings have included Christmas lights and markets, museum exhibitions, back stage theatre tours, afternoon tea, historic houses and gardens and general coffee and cake meet ups.Occasionally a Friday isn’t possible for the venue we plan to visit so we can accommodate other days of the week if we need to.

We have a planning meeting once or twice a year and members make suggestions of where we can go to visit and they do some research about items, prices, travel etc. The event is then listed on the website for anyone interested and we then head off for a fun day out which generally involves a stop at a cafe or restaurant for those who want to.

It’s a chance to show others a place that you enjoy or to try somewhere you may not normally think to go to but you have been inspired by the group to go somewhere new.
