About the Event
Our Pudding Club are hosting an event using their £50 subgroup subsidy. All members are welcome to attend.
Our very own Kate McBain will be demonstrating her delicious Cream & Rich Chocolate Orange Torte. You can sit back and watch or cookalong as we go.
If you are cooking along, you will need
175g plain flour + 25g for rolling out.
62g cold hard butter or hard block margarine ie Stork( not soft or spreadable types)
4-6 tablespoons cold water
300ml double cream
50g butter or hard block margarine
1 large orange, alternatively 2 x 15mls (tblsp) liqueur ie Grand Marnier or Brandy.
Optional- Raspberries to decorate.
*Apron, cleaning cloth
*Medium size mixing bowl
*2 bread & butter knives
*shallow 20cm /23cm (8” or 9”)tart tin/ ring /Pyrex - no deeper than 4cm ( 1.5 “)
*Rolling pin or clean round bottle
*Greaseproof paper ( approx 30cm square (12 x 12” )
*Baking beans or bag dried beans or rice
*Small bowl that fits over saucepan
*Ramekin dish or cup
*Small serrated knife or vegetable knife
