We are delighted to host this FREE event just for Maple Village WI members in conjunction with Kingston Adult Education.
This 2 hour introduction to the Practical Ideas for Happier Living course has been designed with the charity, Action for Happiness, which has over 70,000 members worldwide and whose patron is the Dalai Lama. This informal and friendly workshop gives practical ideas and tips, based on the latest scientific research to increase resilience, improve wellbeing and
manage stress and anxiety levels better. This taster session will also give you some insight into the 6 week course, which all attendees will be invited to join should they wish (free of charge). There are 20 places available on this interactive course and
members who RSVP will receive an email containing a link to a KAE booking form. This form MUST be completed and returned by 3rd May otherwise your space will be offered to another member.
Personal Learning Plans( PLP):
Once the course is full, or about week before the start date, we will share a short a short form with you regardig lesson objectives. All members will be expected to complete this form prior to the start of the session and then a follow up google form (PLP part 2) will be emailed to the group at the end of the session. These are very simple to complete and only take a couple of minutes.
Finally, at the end of the workshop, Marisa will discuss with the group the option of progressing onto the 6 week Practical Ideas for Happier Living Course - subject to availability there are 3 courses planned 8th 9th and 11th June, more info will be shared on the day.
