Walking Group on Saturday - October

Please RSVP for the walk. 

We will meet in the car park at Polesden Lacey at 1030.  The car park is free if you have a National Trust card, otherwise there is a charge (bring your card even if you are a passenger, just in case).  If you don’t have a car, do get in touch as we should be able to arrange car shares.

We will be doing a 5 mile circular walk via the North Downs Way, so hopefully we will see some autumn colours.

Please bring a drink and a snack with you.  We will aim to stop for a break on the North Downs Way.

Walking boots or shoes are advisable and possibly waterproofs if the weather is changeable.  The paths may be slippery if they are wet or muddy.  There are some hilly sections but no stiles.  Please bring water for the walk.  Hope to see you there.

Subject Specific Heath & Safety

Members gathering for a physical event e.g. walking group are advised to stay hydrated and bring their own bottle of water/drink, which should not be shared with others.

Please wear suitable footware for your walk.

COVID specific reminders

While MOST COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, we will still be taking precautions to reduce the risk of transmission during physical events:

· If you are symptomatic of COVID-19, please do not attend any physical event. If you test positive you must inform the Secretary or President.

· Members who are clinically at high-risk are advised to decide carefully whether attending face-to-face is a safe option for them in the chosen venue and situation.

· Members are encouraged to continue to wear masks when attending the meeting if they wish to do so, but this is not obligatory (unless specified by the venue). Please respect the choices made by the attendees in this regard.

· All members attending are advised to bring hand-sanitiser with them and to use it at regular intervals during the event.

· Members are advised to bring their own packet of appropriate wipes to wipe surfaces in venue toilets.

· Please note that the names and contact details of all attendees will be recorded to ensure that in the event we are notified of a positive Covid-19 test either from a Member or the Venue we will notify all of the attendees.
