This month we welcome back Lindsey Barrell. Last year she appeared as Ms Cherry Bombe, this year she is coming along as herself, to give us an introduction to British Sign Language.

Wellbeing and Sensory Consultant (and WI President) Lindsey Barrell has been signing for 13 years
having passed both Levels 1 and 2 in BSL (British Sign Language) whilst supporting hearing impaired
students in a high school. Lindsey has a wide range of experience of working within a Sensory world
and in this session she will take you through the BSL alphabet, numbers, some BSL ‘etiquette’ and
factoids and some basic greetings and questions signs. This is a fascinating and interactive session
that everyone can enjoy. An experienced and very well received speaker, Lindsey has been delivering
workshops and talks on BSL for 13 years and is now also part of the WI’s Denman at Home tutoring
team.
