About the Event
Please RSVP to this event, so we know how many we are planning for.Â
This month we will be celebrating the Coronation by socialising and sharing food. Â We are asking all members to bring along about 6-8 portions of a picnic or party food dish. Â To ensure we have a reasonable selection, we would like to divide into two groups:
if your first name begins with A-K, please bring a sweet dish  - NO NUTS*
if your first name begins with L-Z, please bring a savoury dish - NO NUTS*
We know many of you are busy, so please don't feel you have to make something. Â We'll all be equally happy with something from a supermarket! Â If you do make something, can you bring along a list of ingredients; and if it's from a supermarket, please save the ingredients part of the packaging. Â We will then display these alongside the food for anyone with dietary requirements.
Finally, please also bring your own drink of choice and a glass. Â We will supply disposable plates and cutlery.
Looking forward to seeing you all!
*Our venue does not allow any nuts on the premises at any time.
We will also have a short talk from a guest speaker from the Surbiton Community Fridge.
Fresh food and ambient goods are available free for everyone to take. They have been given freely by contributing donors to combat fresh food waste.
Open everyday from 10am to 2pm. Drop in and pick up some goodies.
Our location is: 115 Brighton Rd, Surbiton, KT6 5NJ

NFWI Meeting Recommendations
While COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted, we will still be taking precautions to reduce the risk of transmission during physical events:
· Face coverings are no longer a legal requirement. However, some members may feel more comfortable continuing to wear one and this should be respected.
· Wash/sanitise your hands and cover coughs and sneezes during events and meetings. Members attending are advised to bring hand-sanitiser with them and to use it at regular intervals during the event
· Please stay at home if you have any Covid symptoms or have received receive a positive LFT.
· Inform your WI Committee if you attended a WI meeting/activity and have tested positive for Covid in the last 10 days.
· Where possible, it is still recommended that members carry out a rapid lateral flow test before attending a meeting to ensure they are not unknowingly infected with Covid.
· Members who are clinically at high-risk are advised to decide carefully whether attending face-to-face is a safe option for them in the chosen venue and situation.
· Whilst social distancing is no longer mandatory you may choose to limit the close contact you have with people you do not usually live with.
